What is the most interesting and profitable area in computer architecture to do a reasearch thesis?
Hard Drive replacements is a very profitable field. There are a few technologies that are still in the lab, that are going to make a huge splash when they finally make it out to market. You need to do some research here, but I would look into it, there are some really cool toys like using 3D Quantum crystalline storage instead of Hard Drives that will revolutionize the industry.
