i want to clear my basic concepts in computer science theorotical subjects such as computer architecture .?
os,digital electronics, compiler etc please provide me material which provide exact details in easy language.thanks in advance.
Not sure what your question is, but I’ll give you a simple explanation of each concept
computer architecture – Basically the organization of the computer hardware components and the means by which they function together. Your computer’s focal point is the CPU, and the CPU needs to have a built-in understanding of how to follow the instructions given to it by a user. The architecture is the blueprint that allows it to do that.
os – The operating system is a way of organizing programs applications, and then setting them atop a kernel which is responsible for interacting with key hardware components. Operating systems allow users to navigate and experience their data and applications usually in either a command-line (text) or graphical (windows) interface interface.
digital electronics – Quite simply the main difference between digital electronics and other electronics is that digital electronics is based on “digits” either zeros or ones which are represented by differing voltages. These zeroes and ones are used to store and process information using Boolean logic which can be expressed electronically using special types of electronic circuits called logic gates.
compiler – A compiler is, put most simply, a translator of high-level code to low-level code. High-level code is source code that is written in programming languages that bear a close resemblance to literal syntax, for instance C, Java, Perl. Low-level languages, referred to as machine code or assembly language, are much more complicated and detailed. It would take much more time and thought to write a program in assembly language. That’s why programmers use compilers. They write their source code in a more comprehensible language, then “compile” it into machine code, which is what the computer reads (it is the code understood by the computer architecture).
